Hot stamping paper usually consists of multiple layers, mainly including:

Base layer: generally uses 12μm-25μm thick biaxially stretched polyester film (PET), the main function of which is to support the various coatings attached to it, so as to facilitate continuous hot stamping during processing. PET film has the characteristics of high temperature resistance (melting point at 170), easy degradation, uniaxial stretch film, etc., and is an ideal carrier for hot stamping paper.

Peeling layer: generally made of silicone resin and other coatings, the main function is to enable the colorant, aluminum, and adhesive layer to quickly detach from the polyester film after hot stamping and be transferred and bonded to the surface of the hot stamped object.

Color layer: the main components are film-forming, heat-resistant, transparent, suitable synthetic resins and dyes, which are used to display colors and protect the aluminum-plated images and texts printed on the surface of the object from oxidation.

Electroplated layer: the film coated with colorant is placed in the vacuum chamber of the vacuum continuous aluminum plating machine, and the aluminum wire is melted and continuously evaporated onto the color layer of the film through resistance heating to form an aluminum-plated layer. The main function of the aluminum coating is to reflect light, change the color of the color layer, and make it present a metallic luster.

Glue layer: generally a fusible thermoplastic resin, the main function is to bond the hot stamping material to the object to be hot stamped.
