The gold foil stamping technique on fabric is like a magical process, giving ordinary fabrics a touch of luxury and charm.

Fabric hot stamping is a process in which brightly colored hot stamping foil (electroplated aluminum foil) is applied to clothing fabrics or other textiles using a specific medium.

It utilizes the principle of heat transfer to transfer the metallic layer of the hot stamping foil onto the fabric surface, creating a unique metallic effect. This technique is highly favored in the fashion industry because it gives fabrics a magnificent and dazzling visual effect, greatly satisfying people's demand for personalized clothing.

In fabric hot stamping, iridescent gold foil plays a crucial role. Its exceptional texture and luster add a touch of luxury to fabrics. A rich selection of colors, such as gold, silver, iridescent gold, and iridescent silver, allows designers to unleash their creativity, crafting unique garments and accessories. Whether it's a glamorous wedding dress, a stylish T-shirt, or a piece of children's wear, iridescent gold foil can bring out a distinctive charm.

In practice, fabric hot stamping follows a rigorous process. First, a suitable screen is selected to print the hot stamping paste onto the fabric. The screen thickness is approximately 80µm, and the hardener is added at a ratio of 2-3%. Screen printing must be completed within 6 hours to ensure adhesion. After printing, the paste is baked at 150℃ for 5-10 minutes to allow it to dry completely. During hot stamping, the temperature and time for flat stamping are controlled at approximately 150℃/20 seconds, with a pressure of over 4kg. For roller stamping, the temperature is approximately 180℃, and the silicone roller has a hardness of 90 degrees. A metal plate can also be used as a barrier between the fabric and the stamping plate. After hot stamping, inspection and repairs are necessary to ensure quality. The use of iridescent gold foil hot stamping paper requires even more precise control of temperature, pressure, and time. Too low a temperature will result in poor gold stamping adhesion; too high a temperature may cause discoloration of the fabric. Pressure and time must also be precisely controlled to guarantee a perfect hot stamping effect.

The combination of fabric hot stamping and iridescent gold foil not only enhances the aesthetics of fabrics but also brings more possibilities to the fashion industry. It transforms each hot stamping piece into a unique work of art, showcasing the wearer's personality and taste. With continuous technological advancements and process innovation, fabric hot stamping will continue to shine on the fashion stage, bringing us more surprises and beauty. Iridescent gold foil, with its superior quality and rich colors, will also become an indispensable element in fabric hot stamping.
